Mobile photography is becoming increasingly popular and is impacting contemporary global society.

We are seeing applications such as Instagram that allow people to capture images and communicate the essence behind their photographs visually. The reality is that mobile photography is becoming a popular form of communication because it acts as a "universal" language.

Using Instagram, we have taken on the challenge of bringing awareness to the social conditions and the plight of the people in Cortland County in hope to shed light on the poverty issue as a whole in the United States.
