FOOD PORN: Oil Paintings By Kaci Beeler Opening/Sweet Betrayal Fusebox Event

This Friday, April 27th, at 6:00pm, is the opening of my solo painting exhibition entitled 'FOOD PORN' at the Salvage Vanguard Theater Gallery. It is also the time of the Fusebox Festival Digestible Feats event entitled 'Sweet Betrayal' that I am taking part in.

This Friday, April 27th, at 6:00pm, is the opening of my solo painting exhibition entitled 'FOOD PORN' at the Salvage Vanguard Theater Gallery. It is also the time of the Fusebox Festival Digestible Feats event entitled 'Sweet Betrayal' that I am taking part in.

I'll have 16 paintings on display in the gallery - 6 from the first Austin food series (2009), 8 from the Austin Desserts series (2011), and two brand-new-never-before-seen larger pieces (2012, a continuation of the Austin Desserts series).

The work will be on display from April 27th through June 23rd, 2012. If you can't make the opening (very understandable), you can still stop by the gallery to see the work while it is up!

In addition, on exhibition will be a larger-than-life wall mural that I will be painting in one 12-hour session, LIVE, on Friday from 6am-6:30pm in conjunction and collaboration with writer David Fruchter and Foreign & Domestic pastry chef Jodi Elliott for 'Sweet Betrayal'.
