Megan’s Birthday Extravaganza Weekend of Super Fun
You’re welcome.
It’s time we all admitted the following:
1. We love Megan Wilson so much that we can think of nothing better than celebrating her 25th birthday, except maybe…
2. Yachts
3. Rock and Roll
4. Men in ridiculous (and hopefully tight) leisure suits

Megan’s Birthday Extravaganza Weekend of Super Fun
You’re welcome.
It’s time we all admitted the following:
1. We love Megan Wilson so much that we can think of nothing better than celebrating her 25th birthday, except maybe…
2. Yachts
3. Rock and Roll
4. Men in ridiculous (and hopefully tight) leisure suits
And that, friends, is why THIS YEAR we shall be celebrating at The Hamilton (http://www.thehamiltondc.com/) , a new concert venue, bar, and 24 hour restaurant in DC that is hosting the world-famous YACHT ROCK REVUE (http://www.pleaserock.com/tributes/yacht-rock-revue) on Friday, May 4th at 8:00pm for the bargain price of $22.50. They play both kinds of music: Hall AND Oates.
I’ve decided to forgo the traditional dinner and drinks for this far more exciting option – who wants to sit at a table for 2 hours when you could, instead, bask in the full glory of my drunken flailing (some could call it dancing). Also, the Hamilton offers a full bar, birthday cake, and a 24 hour restaurant to fulfill all our party needs.
Details are as follows:
COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED (Her Majesty's Shipwreck -- I expect full regalia for this. Boys from Ft. Bragg -- impress me.)
The Hamilton is at 600 14th Street, NW, cross street is F street and it is near Metro Center. It’s a very short walk from the metro and is also a pretty cheap cab ride from most anywhere in DC.
The doors open at 7:00pm (I will get there around then) and the show itself starts at 8:30pm. However, it is advisable to get there early because they anticipate a sold-out crowd.
Tickets are available here:

There is no group rate, but as I mentioned earlier, they are anticipating a sold-out event, so buy your tickets as soon as possible!
After the show, I’m sure we will continue the party either at the Hamilton or elsewhere, so prepare your livers and bring your drinkin’ shoes.
I think it’s also pertinent to mention that May 5th, the very next day, is the Virginia Gold Cup, to which I will CLEARLY be going, with the Capital Club on the bus. If you’re not already going and are interested in THAT part of my birthday extravaganza (cake and jello shots!) let me know and I will give you details, but I’m trying to make less annoying invitations on facebook.
