Dr. Kinkead Reiling, is a co-founder of Amyris, Inc. where from 2003 to 2011 he played a pivotal role in their growth. He has held titles of Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, President and Director of Amyris. Dr. Reiling worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Jay Keasling's lab at the University of California, Berkeley where he studied the metabolic engineering of terpene production in microbial systems. He earned his PhD studying the structure-function relationships of viral and mammalian proteases at the University of California, San Francisco in the lab of Bob Stroud. Prior to attending UCSF, Kinkead received his Masters degree in Applied Physics from Columbia University and a B.S. in Physics from UCLA.
