4) Your cajun dish for the contest, if you are participating
5) Any friends are still welcome! Turns out getting an extra 5 persons worth of crawfish came at no cost because the bulk price went down at that price point.
5/4/12 Update:
It looks like we got the rain out of the way and it should be a nice afternoon on Sunday. If you want to use paypal, you can send it to garylee@gmail.com. We also have room for a few more people if you know anyone who wants a taste of Louisiana culture.
4/29/12 Update:
(a) I will need your RSVPs (and +Ns, etc) by 11:59pm Tuesday evening in order to order the correct amount of crawfish.
(b) If you have some folding chairs that you could bring for the day, that would be awesome.
(c) If you prefer to use paypal, you can use this email address.
(d) We still have plenty of room for other friends and family.
=========================================
On Sunday afternoon May 6, I'd like to gather everyone for a crawfish boil. Instead of the usual potluck style that we favor, I think this time I'll ask everyone to chip in a bit to cover a portion of the cost. I will ask for no more than $20 to cover food, drinks, and beers, and I will cover everything else beyond that.Manu and Erica have graciously agreed to host this event.
However, I was thinking of having a cajun/creole food cooking contest, and I will put up a prize for that if it happens. Stay tuned.
As with most Food Adventures, everyone is welcome to invite friends, family, etc.
Because May 6 is also my birthday, and I haven't organized a birthday event before, this will be one of the rare occasions that I would ask that you to really try to RSVP yes/no for this event in a timely fashion.
RSVP: Here AND please list (or at least enumerate the number of) guests so I can order the right amount of crawfish by TUESDAY evening 11:59pm.
Thanks!
Gary
