 BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW\n
 ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲\n
A notoriously enigmatic band hailing from Pennsylvania\, Black
Moth Super Rainbow made waves on the indie circuit in the early
2000s with their brand of otherworldly\, psychedelic indie pop.
The project began in Pittsburgh in 2002\, and expanded to include
five members (Tobacco\, the Seven Fields of Aphelion\, Power Pill
Fist\, Iffernaut\, and Father Hummingbird) in the following year.
Packing a sound that nodded to contemporary retro-chic electronic
acts like Air and the Octopus Project (who they would eventually
collaborate with)\, the group released their first album\,
Falling Through a Field\, in 2003. Basing their operations in an
undisclosed location somewhere in rural Pennsylvania\, the group
released two more albums\, Start a People and Lost Picking
Flowers in the Woods\, over the course of the next three years. A
critically acclaimed collaboration with the Octopus Project\,
2006&#039\;s The House of Apples and Eyeballs\, combined with a
successful debut at that year&#039\;s SXSW launched the group
into the indie limelight. Their sticky\, rainbow-tinted fourth
release\, Dandelion Gum\, hit stores the following year. After
Tobacco released a solo album in 2008 Fucked Up Friends\, the
band regrouped with producer Dave Fridmann and recorded their
slickest\, most accessible record to date\, 2009&#039\;s Eating
 Us.\n

 LUMERIANS\n
 ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲\n
Live\, it is all about the dance\; at once a visceral and
psychological encounter. Flickering visions are projected\,
keyboards buzz\, drums pound\, bodies sway and minds melt. As the
expanded cinema projections that intensify their live shows
suggest\, the band is constantly pushing their sounds toward
musical synesthesia. The vibrant evocations and tribal rumblings
are so intoxicating that sensory registers are crossed: sonics
becomes optics\, music becomes vision\, psychedelia becomes
phantasmagoria. While the music draws from many sources\, it is
focused on exploratory visions of other worlds and states of
being. So by all means open your mind\, but watch where you
 step.\n

 GRAMATIK\n
 ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲\n
Gramatik has always been an early adopter. It began at the age of
3\, when his mother would catch him glued to the radio in his
older sister’s room\, checking out the cassette tapes with
American funk\, jazz\, soul and blues. He started making his
first beats on an early PC by the time he was 13\, and soon the
kid from Portoroz\, Slovenia figured out how to harvest the power
of free file sharing to build a following throughout the US
 &amp\; Europe. Tracks spread\, hype grew\, tours followed\, and
before long his digital persona forged the initial inroads into
the US market\, landing him both a label and an agency.\n

 fLAKO\n
 ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲\n
Unintentionally off-the-grid and committed to his personal sound
evolution\, fLako is more of a Soul-documentarian than a typical
beat maker. With roots in Chile\, raised in Germany\, and
currently living in London via Berlin – the man himself is a
melange of flavor. His particular sonic palette is a mercurial
blend of warm analogue colors and cutting-edge design. His
writing is marked by manifest emotion. In a world jaded –
caustic with sarcasm and packaged in plastic\, he’s an example
of an artist who’s fearless with his humanity. Not a fiend for
the limelight\, there’s no gimmick to his craft – ’cause in
the end it’s all about an honest\, well written tune.\n

bats he&#039\;s rocking late night discotheques with soul songs
 for the armageddon.\n
