Send Your Legislator a "Pink Slip"

With the primaries fast approaching, we feel it is time to start sending anti-women Texas legislators (or any legislator that votes against women) a message that they should start packing their bags because they are about to lose their jobs! This month we are asking you to gather up white lingerie slips (thrift stores would be a good place to start) and dye them pink (or if you can find a pink one to begin with, even better!) and send them with the following message to Texas legislators:

"Here is your pink slip notification: You voted against women in 2011 and now women will vote you out of office!"

Or you can create a personal message of your own! Have fun with this! This is another "craftivism" activity so get creative with it, make the pink slip your own, decorate it, write the message directly on the slip if you want to.

Before you send off your pink slip to your legislators, be sure to post pictures of your slips right here on the Help Texas Women page so that they can be shared with everyone else who is participating, and inspire those who aren't!
