Marketing pitches aside, weâve encountered some cool technical problems that we look forward to sharing with the group. Â Juxâs stack is Ruby 1.9.3 on Rails 3.2, MongoDB, and a whole lotta Javascript, all running on AWS. Â Weâll take a spin through some of our lessons learned, including bending the Asset Pipeline to your will, building responsive pages with live editing, balancing client/server templating, some nifty image manipulation tricks, and the huge performance gains achieved with caching and prefetching. Â Weâll also discuss our homegrown JS framework, Kevlar.js.
Aidan Feldman is a full-stack developer whoâs been at Jux since before launch. Â When not cranking out open source projects or mustachifying the internet, Aidan can be found performing with various modern dance companies around the city. Â Heâs the organizer of Hacker Hours, Hacking for Hustlers and EDU Hack Day, and as of this summer will be teaching Advanced Javascript at NYU. aidan.jux.com
