On the panel: Danielle Deibler, VP of Engineering at Kixeye As VP of Engineering, Danielle is responsible for management and execution of strategy, process policies and performance of the engineering team. Prior to joining Kixeye, she worked for Adobe Systems, running Engineering for a VoIP services initiative codenamed Pacifica. Danielle has over 15 years in the Internet infrastructure and telecommunications networking arenas. Her primary area of focus in the last 7 years has been on building scalable real time collaboration platforms. Previously, she’s held senior leadership positions in software development, engineering, business development and product management for several early stage companies. Brenda Garno Brathwaite, Chief of Operations and Game Designer at Loot Drop Brenda Garno Brathwaite is an award-winning game designer, artist, writer and creative director who entered the video game industry in 1981 at the age of 15. Brenda has worked with a variety of companies, including Atari, Sir-tech Software, Electronic Arts, Firaxis and numerous companies in the social media space. Before founding Loot Drop, Brathwaite served as Creative Director for two social media companies, Slide (acquired by Google) and Lolapps. She has worked on many Facebook games with DAUs in the millions including Ravenwood Fair, Critter Island, SuperPoke Pets!, SPP Ranch, Garden Life, Rock Riot and Top Fish. Brenda served on the board of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) and presently chairs the IGDA’s Women in Games Special Interest group. She also serves on the advisory board for the Smithsonian’s upcoming video game history exhibition and the International Center for the History of Electronic Games at the Strong Museum of Play. She was named Woman of the Year by Charisma+2 Magazine in 2010 and also was a nominee in Microsoft’s 2010 Women in Games game design awards. In 2009, her game Train won the coveted Vanguard Award at IndieCade for “pushing the boundaries of game design and showing us what games can do.” She was named one of the top 20 most influential women in the game industry by Gamasutra.com in 2008 and of the 100 most influential women in the game industry by Next Generation magazine in 2007. Nerve magazine also called her one of the 50 artists, actors, authors, activists and icons who are making the world a more stimulating place. Christine Lee, VP of Developer Relations at Tapjoy As one of the early employees at Tapjoy, Christine helped build the current partner network to include leading companies such as Glu, Zynga, EA, Pocket Gems and DeNA. She now leads the Developer Relations team at Tapjoy and its operations in Greater China, overseeing business development, publisher sales, partner management and operations with thousands of partners worldwide. Christine has more than 10 years of experience working in business development, sales and marketing in both large Fortune 500 tech companies and privately-held VC funded startups. Prior to Tapjoy she was at YouTube, where she led e-commerce partnerships and strategy, creating partnerships with Amazon and Apple to generate new revenue streams. Christine received her MBA from Wharton and Bachelors from the University of California, Berkeley. Sharyn Efimoff, Director of Product at Zynga Sharyn Efimoff joined Zynga as the company’s first Product Manager in early 2008. While at Zynga, Sharyn started Zynga’s mobile group and led the release of 5 mobile titles: Zynga Poker, Scramble, Mafia Wars, Vampires and Street Racing. She currently works in Zynga’s Cityville team. Sharyn began her career as a software engineer at Motorola. After Motorola, Sharyn held product management and finance roles at Wind River, Good Technology and Amazon. Sharyn earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Sharyn lives in San Francisco. She enjoys ice hockey, bridge and spending weekends with her gorgeous daughter Maya. Jiyoon Chung, VP of Marketing at Crowdstar Jiyoon is an internet marketing veteran with extensive experience building an online audience, managing teams and executing key product and marketing initiatives. As a Vice President of Marketing at Crowdstar she is responsible for developing and driving marketing strategies for user acquisition, retention, and advertising monetization for both social and mobile games. Before joining Crowdstar, Jiyoon played an instrumental role in creating and building marketing organization and managing key strategic initiatives around acquisition marketing, retention marketing and business development at various consumer internet companies including Coupons.com, Beau-coup.com, Nextag, Inc. and eBay. Jiyoon holds an MA in Statistics and a BA in Mathematics, both from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. Koh Kim, Games Partnerships at Google Koh Kim is part of the product partnerships team at Google where she focuses on building Chrome and Google+ as the next web gaming platform. She leads business development, partner management and strategy for game content and technology. She has worked with many game developers, publishers, and technology companies across mobile, web, console and PC. Prior to Google, Koh was a strategy consultant at the Cambridge Group, where she helped clients develop and execute growth strategies driven by identifying unmet consumer demand and creating differentiated products and services. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. Our event moderator:Tina Tran, VP of Developer Relations at FunSockets Tina Tran is VP of Developer Relations and Sales at FunSockets, an HTML5 games platform and game publisher that will launch this summer. Previously, as an early employee at OpenFeint, Tina led the Developer Relations team and established strategic partnerships with top publishers and indie game developers, including Halfbrick, Atari, and Namco. She brought hit games like Fruit Ninja, Tiny Wings, and Pac-Man to the platform, helping to drive OpenFeint’s growth to 140 million registered users before the company’s acquisition by GREE. Tina started her career in management consulting and has over 10 years of business development and product experience at startups and Fortune 100 companies, including Mochi Media, Coremetrics, SAS and Wells Fargo. Following her personal passion to make a difference in the world, Tina took time off and dedicated the fall/winter of 2009 to executing Business Development and Marketing initiatives for Kiva.org, where she co-authored a grant proposal that won Kiva a $1,000,000 grant.
