For ten years, the Big Quiz Thing has set the standard for live trivia excitement in New York City. Taking the pub quiz concept to a whole new level, the BQT has entertained thousands—in New York and other cities nationwide—with its trademark, highly original multimedia trivia game shows. And now, to celebrate a full decade in the quiz business, the BQT breaks the rules once again, with a ten-hour live quiz show on Sunday, June 3 at 92YTribeca, featuring a $1,000 grand prize!
Along the way there’ll be drink and food specials, DJs, original short films, comedy and live music. It all culminates in prime time, as the usual Three-Way Finale expands to a grand Six-Way Finale, to determine who goes home with the $1,000 prize. Plus, there’ll be a whole lot more in the goodies department, as the BQT awards its biggest prize haul ever—books, baked goods, show tickets, and more! No New York trivia geek worth their plastic pie pieces can afford to miss it.
Ten years, ten hours, ten hundred dollar grand prize: The BQT presents an entire Sunday of live game show excitement. Buy a ticket and you can come and go as you please: Stay for one hour or the full ten—everyone who buys a ticket gets to play as much as they want, as the BQT presents some of its greatest-hits video and audio puzzles and original game formats. There’s the Lightning Round, Smart-Ass Points for wrong but funny answers, the Text-Message Challenge, Either/Or, Four-Part Questions, and tons more…not to mention the world’s greatest trivia questions, possessed of that special quality called “figureoutability.”
And yes, the BQT’s senior quizmaster, Noah Tarnow, will be your host…for the whole show! The man who has spent the past decade presenting quiz shows everywhere from A-list music venues to the back of moving trucks intends to challenge players for the full ten hours. Will he survive till the end? There’s only one way to find out: Come for the quiz, stay for the freak show.
In a culture of bite-size information and prepackaged wisdom, nothing is nobler than a live quiz show, and in the world of live trivia, absolutely nothing is better—or bigger—than The Big Quiz Thing.
