“Communicating on a Shoe-String” will teach you how to manage and reply to an on-camera media request, how to dive into the power of social media, and how to quickly edit and produce your own video for the web via smart phones and tablets.

Keynote: Kelly Jackson Davis, APR, president of Davis PR and Marketing An accredited public relations professional with more than 16 years of experience in communications management, Kelly started Davis Public Relations and Marketing in 2004 with the desire to provide clients with outstanding personal service and attention. With a public relations career spanning the non-profit, corporate and government sectors, her specialty areas are strategic public relations planning, branding, community relations, media relations and public policy.

Media Spokesperson Training: Derrec Becker, Public Information Coordinator SC Emergency Management Division – In his position, Derrec has trained hundreds of communications professionals with for on-camera media interviews, handled media inquires on natural disasters and has been deployed to other states for assistance.
How to produce quality video: John Lemmon is co-owner of John Lemmon Films, an animation studio that has created work for clients including Disney, Cartoon Network, Dairy Queen and Johnson & Johnson. In this presentation, you’ll learn basic movie making tips, along with how to apply them using your Apple devices. Make sure to bring your tablet or iPhone to participate.
Social Media: The In’s and Out’s and How to’s to position your organization – Lauren Todd is a marketing communications professional who specializes in social media and digital communications. She has experience helping local law firms grow in the digital realm and has authored a how-to guide on social media for attorneys. Lauren currently works as a marketing assistant at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP.
