Due to some sexual content and violent language the recommended age guidance for this show is 16+.
We are The Tin Can Collective and we’re curious: who makes the rules and do they really exist?
I Would Not is a performance that came out of a discussion. It’s about boundaries; what they are, where they come from, what happens when we push them?
Is it OK to watch pornography? Would you tell your partner?
How about your mum?
Have we become desensitised to explicit imagery and sexual violence?
Does racism count as free speech?
Join us as we teeter on the edge of the comical, surreal and often disturbing lines where morality, private space, reason and lawfulness are called into question.
Blending an original score, script and some scandalous dancing we present the world we live in and the world we don’t. Can you tell the difference?
This production marks the culmination of this year’s Made in Bristol project at Bristol Old Vic – a scheme that runs yearly and supports emerging young theatre makers and workshop leaders with training and facilitates them in forming their own ensemble theatre company. I Would Not has been directed in collaboration with Miranda Cromwell.
