  Central Texas's first BarCamp. CTXCamp is an effort to bring the region together to discuss all the Awesome stuff taking place in terms of Technology, Community Building and general Awesome space making. The unconference will take place on July 7th at Geekdom in San Antonio, Tx from 9-5 with a Happy Hour/Party to follow. We are looking for creative people to come and share their experiences, success and dreams of what our regional creative community has been up to and are looking to do. Some themes/ideas that have come up are: -Creative Spaces (And Programs) in Academia -Hacker Spaces & Building Awesome Communities -Startup Culture of Central Texas -Non-Profits and Tech Centric Creativity -The Future of Create Spaces However, let these theme's be examples, not limitations. Please add other themes and ideas you would like discussed in the comments section and we will add to the list. If you have never been to a BarCamp before, things to remember are: -This is an opensource event, it is more then just free admission, the ideas and conversations are for the community to create and share. -If you have ever been like "You know I would really love to give a talk about XXX" then this is the event for you. -BarCamps require participatory action by all attendees. Do not let this scare you but encourage you. Even if you can only attend for 5 minutes of the conference "just to see what it is about", not worries, that is participation enough. We would rather you show up for the time you can, then not make the event at all. -Bring "show and tell" and be excited, because awesome things are going to happen! Check us out on Facebook! Thanks!
