The Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation (AGLPF) will be kicking off Austin Pride 2012 with the annual Austin Pride Rainbow Run 5K. The Rainbow Run 5K is a 3.1 mile "fun run/jog/walk" through the streets of downtown Austin. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and show your Austin Pride. You can run, jog, or walk the route with your friends and family.

This year Austin Pride is celebrating its 21st anniversary, so
this year's run will finish with a RAINBOW EXPLOSION party at the finish line! We will show our pride with the best post-5k party in Austin, as each participant will be given a portion of "Rainbow Magic*" color powder* and a challenge to see how much rainbow color a body can hold! The fabulous DJ C-Rail will be spinning the dance tunes as the color plumes decorate the downtown Austin skyline.
The post-run festivities will also include a food, health and wellness vendor expo.

*"Rainbow Magic" color powder is 100% natural and safe. You can actually eat the stuff, although be forewarned that it is full of empty calories!
