Our beloved Lucky has passed, but the wedding is still on, as a celebration of Lucky’s life. Lucky’s story is beyond inspiring and deserves being honored. The wedding will be a tribute to Lucky’s service, and the countless animals she helped to find loving homes.
Wendy Diamond recently fostered a senior Coton de Tulear, and after Lucky passed decided to adopt the dog that gave her so much hope during a "ruff" time. Wendy appropriately named her; Baby Hope Diamond. The wedding will now take place between Baby Hope and the winning groom. The groom will join Wendy and Baby Hope as they carry on Lucky’s legacy of promoting animal rescue and welfare, and now the future couple will add animal cancer to their causes. We are still searching for a groom to carry on Lucky’s legacy and to marry Baby Hope.
The FairyTail Wedding of the century will bring awareness to canine cancer, animal rescue, besides being in the running for the Guinness World Record for the Most Expensive Wedding for Pets. The wedding will be held on July 12th at the famed Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park South. The premier luxury hotel is one of the most historic in the country, and has been recognized as such by the National Trust Historic Hotels of America. The reception will be catered by Chef Nate, along with sushi chef James Chung, and Darryl (DR Mixologist) Robinson, “the ultimate cocktail specialist”, will serve drinks.
Flowers for the wedding will be provided by Floralia Decorators, whose clients include Kathy Hilton, Sony Music, USA Films, and even former President Bill Clinton! The Hank Lane Orchestra, a 7 piece orchestra who has provided entertainment for the American Ballet Theater’s Spring Gala, will perform for the guests, along with renowned jazz musician Dominick Farinacci. And they know to keep the music low for those dog ears!
Planning the wedding of the century is definitely a large (and thrilling!) task and couldn’t have been done without Harriette Rose Katz at Gourmet Advisory Services, Fancy That, who designed the ceremony programs and invitations, Bentley Meeker who will light the room and the beautiful Kimpton Muse Hotel, who hosted Lucky’s fairytail bridal shower.
And as for the wedding gown? The bridal dress designed by brother and sister duo Henry and Michelle Roth, whose work has appeared in Vogue, Cosmo Bride Online, and on The Today Show and 60 Minutes. Jakica Ivancevic, wife of Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies, chose a Henry and Michelle Roth gown for her wedding!
This wedding of the century will be inducted into the Guinness Book of World Record for the Most Expensive Wedding for Pets! The ten (10) most voted pets will be picked as final contenders, and the nine (9) runner ups will be invited to the wedding as our guests.
