& featuring the special guest of the night: Brian Belknap
Alternating between accordion, mandolin, slide and acoustic guitar, Brian Belknap has a singular voice as a songwriter with traces of Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt & Johnny Cash. In the nineties he shared the stage with Cake, Calexico, Richard Buckner & Train. After a long hiatus he released Lucky Me that had three of its songs featured in the Showtime Series Look. His latest album, Cradle to Grave, was produced by longtime friend Mike Coykendall [of M. Ward/She & Him].

And signups will also be that night for anyone else.
When there are 16 total performers for the night, you're outta luck.
The list fills up quick, so if you want to perform, you'd better get there early...
If you're going to read, keep it under 5 MINUTES long. That's right: 5 MINUTES. WE WILL TIME YOU. And we will hug you when we have to stop you [just to make it easier on you (or harder - depending on your propensity for intimacy)].
As far as reading goes, you can bring anything you want to read.
It doesn't have to be poetry. It doesn't have to be yours.
You can bring the packaging label for your toilet paper and read that.
It doesn't matter.
You don't have to read anything. You are just as welcome to sit back, relax, clap at what you love and hiss at what you hate.
Please don’t perform anything with a setup that takes much more time than the time it takes for you to walk onstage. Honestly, plugging things in endlessly is boring.
If you have some musical instruments you'd like to bring and play, do it.
IMPORTANT ::: DON'T TAKE YOURSELF SO SERIOUSLY. Come and have fun. The end. Remember. Someday, we won't exist and neither will the English language. If you choose to take yourself seriously, then take yourself so seriously that it's stupid. Ridiculousness is encouraged.
You're Going to Die... no. really. you are.
