“Dive” is a film that exposes the problem of food waste in America. This film is brought to us by Food Shift, an Earth Island Institute sponsored project dedicated to building a more just and sustainable food system that curbs waste, empowers communities, respects the environment, and nourishes all people. Following the film will be a conversation with Dana Frasz, Director of Food Shift,Kirsten Bourne from Bi-Rite Market to discuss innovative ways grocery stores can do their part to reduce waste, and Wanda Crane from Food Runners.
Please join us for cookies, popcorn and tea at 6pm, film at 7pm and discussion at 8pm. Please feel free to bring any food or beverages you wish. Please bring $5-10 suggested donation for entrance and a few extra dollars for our sustainable raffle prizes.
