Dandy-licous Fashion Show presented in partnership with the East Bay Express hosted by Gregangelo

Featuring fashions by Dark Garden and Daniel Sudar, DJ music by Stanley Frank and a cappella music by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus Lollipop Guild.

Visitors are encouraged to tap into their inner dandy and be ready to show off their fabulous selves throughout the evening.

The Lollipop Guild was founded in 1979 and is recognized as the world’s first openly gay small ensemble. Known for its lighthearted and upbeat style of a cappella singing, the Lollipop Guild has grown from a barbershop quartet into an ensemble which features more than twenty of SFGMC’s finest singers.

In addition to touring and performing concerts, the Lollipop Guild has a long history of outreach performances in our community. They’ve sung at countless hospice events, helped raise money for local HIV/AIDS support organizations, and have performed with Donna Sachet in her holiday show. In 1996 they performed the national anthem at the San Francisco Giants “Until There’s a Cure” game, making the Lollipop Guild the first gay chorus to ever sing at a Major League Baseball event.

Stanley Frank is indisputably a card-carrying dandy and jack-of-all-trades. As an artist, performer, and DJ, he has been involved in the queer nightlife scene almost since his introduction to San Francisco from his native San Diego thirteen years ago. Blending an irresistible collection of house, disco, and left-field dance music, Stanley's style (musical and personal) is always distinguished, color-saturated, and upbeat. You can catch him at any of the myriad colorful and eclectic parties he helps soundtrack in the city, including the house-heavy and intimately continental party Viennetta Discotheque at the Underground SF on Monday nights; the delightfully goofy Latin-infused cabana party I Love Cochina Tonga's at the Lookout; the daytime patio-blitz known as Daytime Realness; and the high-art lowbrow drag extravaganza Some Thing at the Stud Friday nights. He also is the resident DJ Saturday nights at Q Bar in the Castro.
