The Designers + Geeks Speaker Series features talks from experts on design, technology, startups, and all manner of geekery. Solving the Creativity Crisis Presented by David Bill of the Urban School, SF In the past, creativity in schools had been seen as secondary to the delivery of content. Creativity is now held at a premium and schools need help understanding how to authentically infuse it into their curriculum. This talk will explore how you can help embed creativity into our schools. David is the Director of Educational Technology at The Urban School of San Francisco. To him, learning is not something forced but rather an exploration that should and can be driven by being an inquisitive and passionate problem solver. In order to create such a learning environment, he focuses his energy on the intersection of design, learning spaces, instructional models, and technology.
