PRESS CONFERENCE:
Wolverine Worldwide and Fashion Has Heart partner for unique wounded veterans design project
What: Wolverine Worldwide will host a press conference at the Wolverine Company Store in downtown Grand Rapids, to announce its partnership with Fashion Has Heart (FHH). The event will also detail FHH’s ArtPrize entry, as well as their affiliation with Wolverine’s military boot company, Bates Footwear.
Fashion Has Heart is a Grand Rapids-based non-profit organization that utilizes art making, graphic/fashion design and product fashion to raise awareness and support rehabilitation efforts of wounded soldiers.
For the week of June 18-25, five wounded veterans will be flown in to Grand Rapids to collaborate with designers from Bates to develop everything from T-shirts to footwear. The team will develop five new boot concepts, including a specific boot concept inspired by the veteran designers and intended for limited-edition public sales. Additionally, their work will be incorporated into an entry in ArtPrize, with T-shirts available at the Wolverine Company Store.
