Who's ready to hit the courts? This will be our first event after Mario Tennis Open releases so instead of our standard Mario Kart Tourney we'll be having a Mario Tennis Tournament!

The structuring for this tournament has been a little tricky. We'll need to find out how many players will be competing before the tournament details are finalized on the day of the event. Here are the details we have so far:

Registration will END at 4:30

There will be NO "doubles" matches

All matches will be 2 games, 1 set

All matches will be played on Mario Stadium: Hard Court

Miis will NOT be allowed in Tournament play(I know this will be a disappointment to some of you, but this rule was enacted in an effort to have the fairest tournament possible for all participants.)

If we have an "uneven" amount of players there may be some kind of elimination round that may possibly include minigames.


*********NOTE*************
The original plan was to allow those without the game to compete in the tournament via download play. Instead, at least one copy of the game will be available for those who don't own one to compete in their own tournament. The grand prize will be a copy of Mario Tennis Open! There will be some practice time before the tournament.

In addition, to tournament prizes, I've got a couple more Kid Icarus shirts to give out, a pack of KI AR cards and some other nice prizes for our drawing.

LOCATION:

We've had some requests to come to Fullerton and this seems like a pretty good location. Not very picturesque, but there's a ton of seating and pretty much any shopping/casual dining option you could imagine. We'll be miiting at the Southwest corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe in front of the Sun China Buffet, which is right next door to Yogurtland and GameStop.
