***ADVOCACY DAY*** 9AM to 5PM
It is our responsibility as Americans to let our elected officials know how we feel about the votes they cast and their policy positions. At no other time is this more imperative than during an election year.
In light of the current political climate and forms of legislation that target Arab Americans, we must communicate our concerns to our representatives.
ADC’s annual grassroots Advocacy Day is designed to help you do just that.
As an attendee you are provided with talking points and a guide on how to schedule a meeting with congressional members and/or their staff.
Members of Congress are very eager to hear constituents express their concern and/or support.
Join ADC in making sure the Arab American voice is heard this election season.
***DEBRIEF*** 5PM to 6PM
After the conclusion of the congressional meetings, Advocacy Day participants will regroup with members of the ADC staff. Attendees will be given an opportunity to discuss their findings and work directly with ADC staff in strategizing and analyzing efforts to better orient the political aims and participation of the Arab American community.
***DINNER RECEPTION*** 6PM to 8PM
The dinner reception marks the conclusion of the ADC Advocacy Day.
During the dinner reception convention attendees will hear directly from members of the 112th Congress.
The primary objective of the reception is to introduce key congressional members and officials to the community.
The dinner is tentatively scheduled to be held in the Canon Office Building.
It is anticipated that key congressional members from both the House and Senate will be attending, including members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Judiciary Committees, along with senior congressional leadership and staffers.
Due to US Senate rules and restrictions, capacity is limited to the first 250 people.
Unfortunately, no individual tickets will be sold for the event, to reserve your seat you must purchase a full convention registration package.
