We're back again this month with our new event and organisation names - Facebook Developers London events, hosted by Social Developers London, and a new monthly night (second Thursday). We're the same people putting on the same great events, at the same regular venue in the Freemasons' Hall (close to Holborn, Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road and Temple stations):

Our headline speaker, Tadgh Kelly, game design consultant and author of What Games Are, will present The Four Lenses of Game Making, relevant to social app development in particular with the discussion of behaviourism as one of those lenses, and whether it is the right/wrong/somewhere-in-the-middle attitude to have (especially going forward) - a must-see for anyone developing social applications.
SDL committee member and social app analytics specialist Heather Stark will tak about The Art of Social App Analytics: nine ninja tricks, covering techniques for helping your social app data to talk sense.
Iskandar Najmuddin, Technical Services Director at Syncapse, returns for a final time to give us his popular run-through of the most recent updates on the Facebook platform. Freelance developer and our secretary Dave Nattriss will cover the hottest apps and pages on Facebook, and starting everything off, SDL Chairman and host for the evening Todd Chaffee will give us a quick update on general Facebook and other social platform news. The talks will begin at 7pm.
We'll have our 'show and share' section later on where you can give a quick talk/demo about whatever you've been working on - just sign up on the board at the front of the talk room to share anything Facebook or social media related with the audience. You can talk for up to two minutes, and can show slides from your computer if you’ve got a VGA connection, or use a browser on ours.
Couldn't make it last time or never been before? Watch a quick video report giving you a flavour of the event, along with much more information (including video recordings and slides from most of the talks) on our website:

Our events often sell out within days, so be quick to buy your ticket(s). We'll have beer, wine, juice and pizza, possibly some swag, and may go for after-drinks at O'Neills over the road for those that want to wind down afterwards:
Tickets are available at
http://fdljune2012-facebookeventdescription.eventbrite.com - you must buy in advance to guarantee entry on the night. Earlybird tickets are available until Sunday before the event, subject to quota.
If you miss out on or can't make this one, we look forward to seeing you at our next event, taking place on Thursday 12th July 2012. We also expect to have an event in September, and have events in October and November.
As always we are grateful for the sponsorship of our events - thanks to our sponsors Gamaroff Digital. If your organisation is interested in sponsoring us, please contact us for more information:
