Music and the theory of art has been the primary influence on Otha’s life. Otha played a major role in the success of independent urban label, Slip N Slide Records. His own production company, Vakseen LLC's, partnerships with major record labels like Atlantic, Def Jam and EMI have granted the company the opportunity to work with platinum recording artists like T.I., Rick Ross, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jagged Edge.

While music has been a driving force, Otha’s passion for art is the key to sanity in the fast paced entertainment industry. Drawing inspiration from relationships, emotion, music, life and the African American experience, his mixed medium works have been showcased in the Southeast and West coast.
