Picnic Day is one of UC Davis’s most revered traditions and serves as the university's annual Open House for prospective and current students, families, alumni, staff, faculty, and the greater Davis and regional communities. The theme chosen for Picnic Day 2010 is “Carpe Davis: Seizing Opportunities.” The Picnic Day Board of Directors wanted to recognize the vast array of opportunities that are available at UC Davis, and wanted to showcase the many individuals who are taking advantage of these opportunities all over campus.
Picnic Day officially begins at 9:30am with the Opening Ceremonies at the Grandstands followed by the parade which winds through campus and downtown Davis.
