Philoceraptor is a super-intelligent, super-predatory, super-violent, bitter, spiteful, unsuccessful, horny predator. Its habitat consists of an area marked by two guitars, cheap beer, and drums. It makes a sound that will resonate with anyone who ever wished ’90s indie rock and ’70s punk would have a baby. The baby must wear white denim. Only sweat, dance, and song will appease it.

Going down the rough checklist of all that Grunge-Pop entails, the trio that is Dead Soft seems have their bases covered. Gargled vocals also capable of being sweet? Check. Intimate acoustics that only emphasize the meaning of the material? Check. Loose instrumentals that have the ability to tighten up at just the right moments? Double check.
