After dancing the weekend away at RiP, come join us for a special RUEDA WORKSHOP on Tuesday, June 19th!
Lots of people have been asking about how they can learn more rueda to really work on the moves at a slower pace. Therefore, we'll be holding the first in a series of summer workshops this TUESDAY evening that will help you build up your skills and master the moves.
The workshop will be held in our usual spot next to Bethesda Fountain in Central Park--it'll be a great summer evening of dancing, music, and lots of fun. Here's the schedule:
6-7pm: Beginners Workshop
7-8pm: Advanced Workshop
The cost will be $10 for each workshop--please feel free to bring your friends!
Beginners Workshop
This session will be perfect for you if you are new to rueda or you've only danced rueda a few times and still find yourself not sure what lots of the different calls and steps are. Do you know what adios, el uno, and caminala mean? If you're not sure, this is the class for you!
Advanced Workshop
This is the right level for you if you've been dancing rueda for at least a few months and can pull off moves like montana, patin, and ponle sabor easily. We'll be moving at a faster pace, learning innovative steps, and doing group moves where everyone's got to be in sync to make it work. If you've wanted to work on trying out your hand as the cantante, we'll also go over how to call a rueda.
