Gates open at 10:00AM on Saturday and the Main Event begins just in time for the BBQ teams to put their final touches on their delectable creations and submit them to be judged by the knowledgeable panel of KCBS judges. Teams will be competing in four following categories; Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken Thighs and Brisket.

While the professional competition is winding down the Backyard BBQ Championships will just be heating up. Watch as 12 teams of local firefighters, police and Bay Area businesses do their best to showcase their BBQ skills. This competition will be sure to bring a lot of fun and excitement to the event. Our local Backyard Teams will be competing in two categories; Tri-Tip and Chicken Thighs. This event will be judges by our panel of hand selected local judges.

In addition to the BBQ Championships we will be showcasing 200 of the Bay Area’s hottest wheels in our 2012 Car-B-Que Championship. Check out these wheels and grills while you stuff your faces with savory barbeque and sweet treats washed down an ice cold beverage.
