Activities are designed to complement the neighborhood’s rotating outdoor gallery of murals and other artwork by renowned street artists.

ABOUT DOWNTOWN ARTS DISTRICT: Founded in the 1980s as an artist enclave, this 52-block neighborhood consists of artist studios and art galleries; coffeehouses such as Urth Caffé and Novel Café; restaurants and night spots as Wurstküche, Eat.Drink.Americano, and The Pie Hole; creative entrepreneurs; nonprofits such as Cornerstone Theater Company and Art Share Los Angeles; industrial businesses; and government agencies anchored by the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).
