VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES ‘CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS’ FOR
THE 2012-2013 ARMED WITH A CAMERA FELLOWSHIP
ENTRY SUBMISSION DUE AUGUST 3RD, 2012
A prestigious fellowship, Armed with a Camera is an opportunity for Asian American media artists to continue their passion for filmmaking. Up to ten fellows will be chosen to receive $1,000 to direct, produce, and shoot a short film that will be showcased at various VC exhibitions across Los Angeles, including the 2013 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
Armed with a Camera is not just an opportunity to creatively express a cinematic voice, it is also a mentorship program that includes special training, development and honing of filmmaking skills, and access to facilities and equipment. Fellows will have hands-on experience and guidance from talented professionals in the industry, and will further explore the medium of cinema.
The 2012-2013 fellowship will span across six months and all final projects will be shot in digital video format, completed by March 22, 2013. All submissions are due on August 3rd, 2012.
