Market Research In A Social Media Landscape The market research industry has been slow adapting to social media. Victoria & Kate will explain the resistance and how traditional market research has evolved to using a range of social media and online technologies. Victoria Gamble has a background in qualitative research and Kate Tribe has a background in quantitative research. They use social media in their own independent businesses (Work In Progress and Tribe Research) and research for clients. They’ve presented on a range of research techniques locally and internationally and are Committee members for the Independent Researchers Group and the Australian Market & Social Research Society. Kate Tribe is a quantitative market and social researcher.She founded Tribe Research in 1997 and is the CEO. Victoria has been 'listening in' on consumers wants and needs for over 12 years. She has worked in both boutique agencies and the multi-national agency TNS, prior to setting up her own freelance research service in 2010. Victoria is recognised for her interest and passion in developing technologies. Since 2004, Victoria has worked to develop online qualitative approaches.
