PLEASE READ:
This event is NOT recommended if you will have difficulty with the walking actvity, have fear of dark places, fear of tight spaces, fear of bats, fear of snakes and is sensitive to paranormal phenomenas or is fearful or has had a traumatic experience with disembodied entities.
***We will be joined by paranormal investigators***
Wear the proper footwear, water and snacks suggested. SPF and bug spray highly recommended. Feel free to bring binoculars and flashlights.
The Rangers have been informed and is aware that our group will be attending.
PHOTOGRAPHY: There will be some opportunities for photographing using natural light w/o inclement weather. However, we will be entering dark/dimly lit environments, you may want to outfit your camera for night photography.
PARKING: You will have to park outside the base. A lot is available by the bay right outside Fort Totten and a second lot is available 100 yards north along the Cross Island Parkway.
VISITORS CENTER: You will have to walk up the hill until you are not authorized any further, make a right then go past the abandoned battery/tunnels and tucked away is the visitors center.
NOTE: Allow yourself some extra time to find parking and walking towards the visitors center. The walk to the visitors center is an adventure in itself.
