Blkmarket Membership are proud to present their first Ostgut Ton label showcase of 2012 on Tuesday July 3rd . For the first Blkmarket/Ostgut Ton event we are genuinely thrilled to welcome one of Ostgut Ton’s best known artist: Ben Klock along with sterling support from label mates Marcel Dettman and Nick Höppner.

After his last visit here in April we cannot wait to welcome back Ben Klock for another expertly delivered techno masterclass. Klock is probably Ostgut Ton’s most praised DJ and producer and is renowned for his lengthy, extended sets.

Along with Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann is one of the most recognizable faces of Ostgut Ton, and one of the major figures in modern techno. A resident at the original Ostgut club and at Berghain since its opening in 2004, Dettmann is a tour de force, equally at home releasing music on his own MDR label, remixing the likes of Fever Ray, Junior Boys and Modeselektor, or crafting his widely acclaimed Berghain 02 mix CD, Conducted mix CD for Music Man Belgium and artist album for Ostgut Ton. As a DJ he is renowned for his marathon DJ sets at Berghain. Joining the dots between innumerable styles of electronic music, he manages to connect the dots in a way in which few other DJs are able. His set is guaranteed to be an absolute treat.

Nick Höppner, Ostgut Ton’s label manager and another key component of the Berlin scene. Nick’s musical breadth, knowledge and heritage is unrivalled and his involvement in the inception and development of the Ostgut label has been massively important. It is no overstatement to say that Nick has been one of the most influential people in the development of the Berghain sound and we can expect a rich and eclectic adventure through modern electronic music from him.
