It's time to have a picnic. But not just any picnic, it's a design picnic!

We are preparing a fun and exciting evening of film screening, picnic, panel discussion and musical performance, all at the beautiful Los Angeles State Historic Park. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, grab your friends and some snacks and come enjoy the show!


The film we are showing is Design & Thinking - it's a documentary exploring the impact of "design thinking" on our society. Design thinking uses empathy-driven research, ideation and prototyping to solve ill-defined, complex problems of our world. The film explores the topic through conversations with thought-leaders and creators from all walks of life. This is the first time the film is shown in SoCal outside of the Newport Beach Film Festival. So don't miss this chance! We've been working hard share the film with the greater LA community because we think it's a topic worthy of attention.


We will have a panel discussion following the screening. We are gathering a diverse group of thought-leaders in architecture, urban planning, interaction design, product design and sustainability. Stay tuned for the confirmed list of panelists. If you know individuals who actively practice or teach design thinking in LA and would like to see in the panel, please drop us a line.

NOTES:

The venue will be open at 7:30pm. The film will start around 9pm. There will be plenty of parking at the park. You can bring food and beverages for picnic on the lawn. There will be musical performance for your entertainment as you wait for the screening to start. Think Cinespia but more awesome since you will be there!
