Please join us on July 29th at Toast Wine Lounge for a family-friendly and admission-free, 51Oakland Fundraiser & Silent Auction. The event, which is to be held both indoors and outdoors, will feature a barbecue menu, silent auction and live music! There will be a different live music act every hour, on the hour between 1 and 9 p.m.

Confirmed talent to date includes Don Reed (Actor, Writer, Comedian), David Gans (Musician, Writer, Host of KPFA's "Dead To The World" and Sirius XM's "Tale From The Golden Road"), Jordan McConnell (Grammy-nominated Musician), Oakland Public School teachers and students, and more to be announced.

A percentage of all proceeds go to 51Oakland, to help ensure that all Oakland public school students have improved and consistent access to music and performing arts. Please join us!

Presented by 51Oakland in Partnership with Yoshi's Jazz Club

51Oakland is currently collecting auction items for our July 29 fundraiser, and we respectfully request your support. Any donation is tax-deductible, and more importantly, will help ensure the accessibility of music and the performing arts to all Oakland public school students. Donors will be recognized through signage at the event entrance, on bid sheets, social networking sites and local publications, and announcements between performances. ABOUT 51OAKLAND
51Oakland was established in 2011 by Yoshi Akiba, co-owner of the renowned musical venues, Yoshi’s Oakland and Yoshi’s San Francisco, and Jason Hofmann, a young Oakland-based entrepreneur and former educator who, within the last few years, has become increasingly involved in philanthropic activities benefitting youth.

51Oakland, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, is organized and operated solely to promote educational, artistic and musical opportunities for youth in the Oakland community. An advocate of the Oakland Unified School District, 51Oakland provides access to mentoring, nurturing and training by professional musicians and, later this year, will underwrite and organize a monthly concert series, “Live at Yoshi’s,” featuring Oakland’s finest youth talent.

51Oakland’s mission is to inspire student learning, hard work and self-esteem by strengthening the role of music and the arts in the Oakland public school system. 51Oakland’s commitment to supporting the educational and arts programs will foster a community that nurtures growth, creativity and self-expression for youth, and instills core values of a strong work ethic, discipline, teamwork and self-actualization.
