Our date with the Battleground is getting closer, NorCal Warriors. You've still got a few months to prepare, but Warrior Dash wanted to help you out and share some insider information. Keep reading in order to get the most out of the craziest frickin' day of your life.
There's no doubt Warriors have big hearts. In 2012 all participants can sign up as a St. Jude Warrior and give back. In addition to getting training tips and fundraising ideas, Warriors who raise at least $250 will gain VIP access to the St. Jude Warrior Tent that includes:
Free food and drinks.
Private showers and bathrooms.
Private bag check.

Five tips every Warrior should keep in his or her back pocket (or mud-soaked costume):
Invest in a roll of plastic sheets from your local hardware store. Your car upholstery will thank you later.
Whether it's good shoe laces or a zip tie, make sure your chip timer stays with you through the mud. It's your ticket to a free beer at the festival.
Being covered in mud, sweat and beer is stinkin' romantic but can take a toll on the bling. If you're planning on tackling the course, make sure to keep any wedding memorabilia (aka your ring) out of the mud pit. Read: Gear Check Tent, your car or your house.
Warrior support teams, such as spectators and media, are always welcome inside the Warrior Dash festival area. Outside food, beverage, coolers and tents are not.
Have you ever seen Santa wearing a speedo and a Warrior Helmet, while covered in mud? Get creative and you might just walk away having won the best costume award. The competition will take place during the awards ceremony, and you'll have to think big to win.
