This one of our monthly group excursions and how much geekier can it get than at the Dallas Museum of Art.

We will start with dinner at Atrium Cafe of the Museum at 6:30 PM on the open side with self seating for a drink only not dinner.

Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art The art doesn't go home.

Why should you?

Join us on the third Friday of each month, when the Museum is open until midnight. Each Late Night offers hundreds of experiences for visitors of all ages with performances, concerts, readings, film screenings, tours, family programs, and more!

General admission is $10 or less, DMA members and children under 12 free.

Late Night programs are included in general admission to the Museum. Some exhibitions require an additional ticket.

Saints of Valory

Saints of Valory is a group of long-time musicians who launched their career in Austin after experiencing SXSW. They have since become one of Austin’s top acts and were nominated for the Austin Music Awards Best New Band of 2010.

Politics as Art: Grosz’s Influence on Political Cartooning

Political cartoonist Tim Kreider is best known for his satirical and brutally honest depictions of society.  Kreider will discuss artist George Grosz as influence on modern political cartooning and as a political commentator who transcended the typical political cartoonist through his work.

Lost Dallas

Mark Doty, Historic Preservation Officer for the City of Dallas and author of the new book,Lost Dallas, will present a sampling of buildings, neighborhoods and sites that have been lost and even forgotten since the City of Dallas' modest beginning in 1841.

Bent Penny Stringband

Listen to some old-time stringband music, which originates from rural Texas and can be considered the precursor to bluegrass music, while enjoying happy hour drink specials.

Watercolor Demonstration

Artist, Scott Winterrowd, will demonstrate a variety of different watercolor techniques including stenciling and glazing which were also used by George Grosz.
