Polish your craft and hone your audition skills with one of the industry's most effective, insightful and inspiring coaches!
In this one day intensive, Aaron will work with actors on how to make stronger choices in auditions, be present in the room and how to take direction. He will help you to de-mystify the audition process and provide you with tools to be a more confident, flexible and playful performer in front of the camera.
Aaron will immediately hone in on what you have to offer the character and and will work to bring that out in your scene. The minimalism of film acting is the primary thrust, illustrating the camera’s ability to capture nuances of behavior, and requiring from the actor less physicalization, greater concentration and maximal inner-life.
Every actor in the workshop will receive an online copy of the day's taped work and the intensive will also include improvisation and voice warm ups. This will be a terrific workout for experienced actors – previous training is a prerequisite for this workshop.
Known as a coach who is relentless in drawing truth from the actor in every beat, while maintaining kindness and integrity in the room, Aaron has been coaching privately and teaching for over ten years. Starting his career in Vancouver, Canada, Aaron has been coaching and acting in Los Angeles since 2007.
Aaron's acting credits include: Film/TV - Fairly Legal, Continuum, Fringe, iCarly, The Unit, Life Unexpected, Kyle XY, The L Word, Smallville, Supernatural, Stargate and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Theatre - Gaslight at the Hudson Theatre, Neil Labute's Fat Pig and Michael Weller's Fifty Words. He has also directed critically acclaimed productions of Glengarry GlenRoss and Closer.
