New this year is a three-event platform which consists of the 5K Olympic Distance, DOT Challenge and Chuck Patterson Signature Series 5-Lap Rally Race.
5K Olympic Distance - WPA Short Course (Estimated time: 30-minutes to 1-hour)
Compete against friends or simply paddle for the pleasure of it. The 5K results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings. This is a timed event.
DOT Challenge - Open Event (Estimated time: 1- 1.25 hours)
The DOT (Distance Over Time) Challenge is simple: how far can you paddle in 60-minutes to support your favorite charity? Each paddler will be given one hour to complete as many 1.6K (1-mile) laps as possible. A horn will blow at the 60-minute mark; each paddler must complete their lap and proceed directly to the finish line. Paddlers will be ranked by how many laps they have completed and the order in which the final lap was finished. This is not a timed event.
Lap count will be based on the honor system.
Chuck Patterson Signature Series 5-lap Rally Race - WPA Long Course (Estimated time: 45-minutes to 1-hour)
The CP Rally will consist of five laps: four around a 1.6K course and one alternate lap that will involve an additional physical and/or mental challenge. The alternate lap will be specific to each location. The individual paddler may choose to complete the alternate lap at any point during the race. CP Rally results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings. This is a timed event.
