DJ 66 is a house dj from New York City, who now makes his home in Brest, France. He is a former hip-hop dj who re-discovered dj’ing when he moved to France 12 years ago. DJ 66 or 6 as he is sometimes called was introduced to the underground music scene with the sounds of New York house. New York house introduced him to the world of techouse, which got a lot of its inspiration from Detroit. He combined the two sounds to create a unique style of music that is difficult to find elsewhere. While establishing himself on the underground house scene in Brittany, he caught the attention of the organizers of one of Frances better known electronic music festivals, Astropolis.

This multi-venue event has invited many of electronic music’s biggest names. Kevin Saunderson, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier. Carl Craig, Derrick May, Jeff Mills and Gui Boratto, along with local talents, Manu le Malin, Madben and DJ 66 has also played at the elektrik piknik,at the historic Chateau de Keriolet,an 18th century castle. He has opened for French artist, Arnaud le Texier and is the only dj at Atropolis 2010 besides Laurent Garnier, who played monster set of more than two hours. His soulful sound is always a welcomed addition to any electronic music event and he never fails in his task to get bodies moving. He is a true lover of music who finds great joy in sharing that passion with other music lovers.
