2012 TDF NPO Descriptions & Contacts = Minneapolis, MN
Midtown Greenway Coalition (MGC): The Midtown Greenway Coalition is the group that convinced the City and County to put in the Midtown Greenway. Our mission is to empower communities to develop, improve, protect, and enjoy the Midtown Greenway as a green urban pathway to improve people’s lives. The community’s vision for the Greenway is big. It calls new buildings and public open spaces that front the Greenway, sustainable landscapes, a linear outdoor public art gallery, and vibrant gathering spaces. We are guiding the way our city grows up along the edges of the Greenway.
Volunteers interested in helping with Set-Up, Tear-Down, Checking IDs, Selling Beer Tokens, or Pouring/Serving Beer, please email Soren@midtowngreenway.org
Minneapolis Off-Road Cycling Advocates (MOCA): We are a volunteer group dedicated to building and maintaining mountain bike trails within the City of Minneapolis and its park system. We started our quest to create the first urban single-track in the country back in 2002. Since then we constructed almost four miles of sustainable and fun trail within two miles of downtown Minneapolis. We value our close partnership with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and their support staff, who along with our many dedicated volunteer trail workers, has made this trail vision into a real asset for the City and its residents.

Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN): BikeMN’s vision is that bicycling should be a safe, easy, fun and cool choice for everyone and that more people bicycling more often will benefit the health of individuals, communities and the environment.
Advocating for bicyclists is one of BikeMN's most important goals. BikeMN focuses on bicycling related issues of statewide or regional significance and partners with local and national organizations on other issues that impact bicycling. The best way to get involved is to join BikeMN and let your local and state officials know about the importance of bicycling to you and your community.
