Mobile Advertising and HTML5 Wednesday, July 11th from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. HTML5 gets a subtle brush-off to-date for mobile games and social apps, but if there's one place where HTML5 should get a warm welcome it's in the mobile advertising space. Advertisers need an easier way to deploy to multi-OS, multi-screen environments, and...they actually need to make the ads useful and interesting due to the short session times and flaky user behavior on mobile. On top of all that there are really rough size limits for mobile which means that ads need to be as light and sweet as possible, but coding frameworks and legacy tech like flash, which are supposed to make ads easier to develop are too big for mobile networks. Finally, tracking is a mess and doesn't work anything like it does on the desktop, so even if you know all the advertising buzzwords like BT (hint, not British Telecom) you're probably still out there in the wilderness with a low battery. Come and see Crisp Media VP of Product Marketing Tom Limongello demo about HTML5, responsive design and standards for advertising and the history of mobile marketing, straight from somewhere quite close to Madison Ave :) Can't make it?
