Grammy nominated artist, Caroline Aiken started performing professionally in a rock band in1968. In the late 70’s, she began to hone her solo songwriting and vocals, piano, 6 and 12 string guitar craft in front of the most discerning of audiences, opening for Doc Watson, Jessie Colin Young, John Hartford, Bonnie Raitt, David Bromberg, Muddy Waters, Leo Kottke, Little Feat, Randy Newman, Allen Toussaint, Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, Jesse Winchester, and many more. After years of touring and performing, she returned to her roots in Atlanta, Georgia in the mid 80's, where she became a dynamic force in the city's acoustic and folk scene, influencing up and coming young Georgia artists including Shawn Mullins and the Indigo Girls. Atlanta Magazine called her "The Best Acoustic Act".
