Londata VI: Using Data to Delight and Excite

Our summer recess is over! Starting the new Londata season with a bang, Alex Craven and Peter Laflin will be joining us for what promises to be a fantastic evening.

Alex and Peter are CEO and Head of Insight respectively for Digital Discovery agency Bloom. Exploring the Londata vision of ‘putting data to work’, they will be explaining how Bloom is currently working in collaboration with the Universities of Reading and Strathclyde to use insight from Big Data to delight and excite their clients.

From helping a leading home improvements retailer to understand their lead generation process by data mining historical unstructured lead data, to working with a large entertainment brand to help them get a better picture of their ecommerce conversion data, Bloom have many tales to share about gaining useful insight from big data.

Alex and Peter will also explore how Bloom are using social data to help their clients understand how their conversations are evolving in real time over the web, and how writing an academic paper uncovered a spam detection minefield…
