How you all going?? I'\;m writing to give you Some important news about me: I’ve been selected to embark on an exciting professional development trip to America. Next month I travel to the US to train with a highly acclaimed Vocal Coach in a method of vocal teaching not currently being taught in Australia. This is a big coup for me and my arts practice\, as a vocalist\, and teacher/facilitator.\n \n To make the most of these fantastic opportunities\, I will be re-locating to the US for 12 months.\n \n On my return I intend to bring my whole new skill set to Australia as a vocalist\, and continuing to work with kids and community and corporates - supporting people to have a better life through using music and voice as a way to express themselves in the world. \n \n I am also enrolled in a 7-day Master class with Vocal Improvisation Legend - Bobby McFerrin!!! (Remember that song “Don’t worry\, be happy”? Well he'\;s a lot more than that in the greater music world. See the link below.) \n Bobby is a great man\, it'\;s been a life dream to study with\, and learn from him.\n \n WHY CROWD FUNDING???\n \n I have recently had a significant amount of “guaranteed” sponsorship funding pulled from the project-\n So\, although I'\;ve been working hard to make this happen\, I need your help.\n \n Today\, I thought I'\;d try a different approach.\n \n I am launching a crowd funding style campaign.\n \n For those of you unfamiliar with how this works\, - Its a \n "\;MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK"\; approach\, where people are invited to support a project by making a small one off donation.\n \n There is obviously ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION to do so...\n \n I AM LOOKING TO RAISE APPROX $1500\, or part there of - \n to go towards the initial cost of training. \n \n If you are inspired to support\, in some small way\, you will be assisting me to be able to go ahead with initial training\, and accessing this great opportunity.\n \n - I have set up an e-saver account to make it easy for those who are inspired to donate to the cause.
