As part of its ever growing Ceilidh Trail programme, Fèis Rois will bring a group of outstanding young musicians from across Scotland to perform in London this summer!
Currently on their Trad Trail tour, this exceptional group of Fèis Rois musicians demonstrates Scottish traditional music at its very best. With their beautifully crafted songs and driving tune sets, these young musicians promise you an entertaining performance of both traditional and contemporary folk music.
The musicians visiting London include fiddle player, Sally Simpson from Edinburgh, harpist and Gaelic singer, Steaphanaidh Chaimbeul from Kyle of Lochalsh, and three Ross-Shire musicians: Eilidh Ramsay (fiddle and vocals), Alasdair Paul (guitar) and Alexander Levack (bagpipes and whistles).
They will perform at St Columba’s, Pont Street, SW1X at 7.30pm on Monday 23rd July. Tickets priced £12/10 will be available on the door on the night.
In addition to the Fèis Rois group, an ensemble of Gaelic musicians based in London will also perform. The group, Sallan, led is led by Gaelic singer and clarsach player, Sandy Jones, a regular participant at Fèis Rois Inbhich (The Adult Fèis) held in Ullapool each May bank holiday weekend.
Definitely an event not to be missed!
