Sandbanks Provincial Park, 3 hours east of Toronto, is known for two of the largest freshwater sandbars in the world! This in turn has resulted in a beach that has giant sand dunes and golden beaches. And we are going for a day of fun and frolic on this beach and will be having our picnic on these sand dunes! How cool is that?
If we can find an empty piece of beach that is reasonably flat, we will be putting up our volleyball net and playing some volleyball along with other beach type games. Sandcastles anyone?
The water is perfect to swim in so if you're a swimming type of person, then please bring along your swimwear to take advantage of swimming amongst the sand dunes.
This is a picnic so please bring whatever you wish to eat and drink. Of course you could bring a little bit extra to share with your beach neighbours and make your own mini-potluck out of it. That would be the neighbourly thing to do. :-)
We will be travelling on our deluxe highway coach so please feel free to bring the larger hard sided picnic coolers if you wish, there will be lots of room to store them in the luggage holds of this bus. Make sure your name is on the coolers!

Cost
The cost for this day trip is $45 per person and includes round trip transportation on a deluxe highway motor coach, a morning snack pack on the bus, park admission at Sandbanks, bottled water, access to our reserved covered picnic area and all taxes and tips.
Minors
Children 5 and older are welcome on this trip. The cost for children is the same as that for adults.
Payment Method
The best way to pay is online through this site. Simply RSVP for this event and you will be prompted to pay with Paypal or any major credit card.
If you prefer to pay using an alternate method, I can accept cash, cheque, money order, Interac email money transfer or bank wire transfer. Please contact me and let me know how you wish to pay and I will email you the appropriate instructions.
Please note that payment must be received before you can be added as a passenger. I am not able to reserve a spot for you until I have received your payment.
Departure Point & Pickup locations
The bus will depart York Mills Subway Station at 8:00 AM on Saturday August 4 2012. Additional pickups will be made at Scarborough Town Centre and at Brock St. & Hwy 401 in Whitby if requested.
We will return to Toronto at approximately 9:00 PM
Full details on pickup locations and some final instructions will be sent to all confirmed attendees 2 days before the trip on Thursday August 2.
