Chick-Fil-A has officially “come out of the closet” and denounced the movement for marriage equality. Now after much backlash, Mike Huckabee is calling for August 1 to be “National Chick-Fil-A Day” and encouraging the masses to buy from them in show of support for what they stand for – inequality. So far, it looks like they have over 400,000 people.

Instead, let’s do something positive!

On August 1, donate the value of a Chick-Fil-A combo meal to your favorite gay rights organization.

That’s about $6.50.

Come on, you know you can afford that to help out these amazing organizations who are standing on the side of equal rights for everyone. Please invite friends and help to support equality!

On August 1, when you donate, you are encouraged to post an image showing proof of your donation and show it here. Also, please let your organization know (if you can) that you made the donation because of this event!
