SUMMARY:Apply to be a Youth &amp\; Government Intern!
DESCRIPTION:Hey Y&amp\;G Alumni\, you should apply to be an Intern for the
 65th ML/C (2012-2013).\n
 \n
The Intern program is a leadership development program for
 college students who have participated in Youth &amp\;
Government. First-year Interns advise groups in the Forum program
and attend all ML/C conferences\, as well as their own Leadership
Conference (retreat). The Forum Program is designed for all of
the high school freshman in Y&amp\;G. You will be assigned a
forum topic and you will guide your delegates (a group of about
 15) in the bill writing process and see their final product in
Sacramento. It is a fantastic leadership position and a great way
to give back to the program. (You don&#039\;t have to be fresh
out of the program to apply to be a first-year intern. You can
have been out of it for a few years and still apply!)\n
 \n
Returning 2nd year interns will be placed as staff in various
program areas and 3rd year interns work closely with all of the
interns and help run the intern program.\n
 \n
Being an intern is an excellent way to stay involved in the
program after high school. It is one of the most rewarding
experiences the Youth &amp\; Government program has to offer. You
learn so much more about the program and obtain valuable life
skills. Not to mention that you will make some of the best
 friends in the process. \n
 \n
Intern selection is made via an application process. If you are
at all interested we encourage you to apply. To get an
application (or more information) send an email to:
interns@calymca.org expressing your interest. Hope to see all of
 you apply :) \n
 \n
And if you have any questions feel free to message me as well!
AND PLEASE forward this to any high school seniors or college
students who have participated in Youth &amp\; Government.\n
 \n
Applications are due late August/beginning of September and the
earlier you get your application in the better!\n
