Social Cycling Austin rides as traffic and not against it. We obey traffic signals/road signs, yield the right of way, let cars pass, and we do not block intersections. We strive to be courteous to both our fellow cyclists and vehicular traffic on the road. Please listen to the Ride Leaders that are volunteering to help lead the ride safely; they are some nice folks and have your best interest in mind.
Curious about the rules of the road? Check out this most awesome rules site here:

REMINDER: The goal is to create a safe environment for all cyclists and reach the destination without injury. We cannot control, nor would we want to, every riders’ behavior. We strongly encourage personal responsibility on all SCA rides; it is up to YOU to maintain safe conduct for yourself and those around you. If you choose to ride with us YOU accept the risks inherent in riding a bicycle amongst a large group of other cyclists of varying skill levels as well as being in close proximity to vehicular traffic.
See you guys at the beach!
